Maintenance Technician - Weekend Shift

We are seeking a Plant Maintenance Mechanic for our Kingman, AZ facility to join our team. You will perform troubleshooting, repair, and upkeep of the facility's machinery. Friday, Saturday, and Sunday 6:45 am-7 pm

Position Snapshot

You will assist in the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical and mechanical systems, as well as the components of industrial machinery and equipment. Your daily responsibilities will focus on ensuring that your assigned areas operate with risks minimized to the level of As Low As Reasonably Achievable (ALARA), to achieve ZERO HARM. This means preventing any injuries, illnesses, or negative impacts on employees, property, the environment, or the community. You will also support the maintenance mechanic in ensuring that the equipment functions according to production quality specifications and performs as designed.

To perform well in this role, you will need to:

  • Have a strong attention to detail.
  • Understand Microsoft Office products, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Able to work with mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and control systems.
  • Be a self-starter and be ready to assist production when needed.
  • Provide support for operations as required.
  • Initiate and suggest plans to improve performance, subject to approval by Insteel leadership.

Qualifications needed for the role:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required
  • Professional, technical, or administrative training (2-year Associate Degree) is preferred.
  • Ability to complete simple forms and understand written instructions.
  • A minimum of 3 years of work-related experience is required; an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience may be acceptable.
