About You

The person we are looking for adapts well with the changing manufacturing environment, has a firm understanding of human resources, demonstrates the importance of confidentiality, well organized, excellent attendance record, and has the ability to work efficiently and unsupervised for long intervals throughout the day.

Position Snapshot

An Administrative/HR Assistant is commonly expected to know Human Resources, people engagement, and be very organized. To be successful in this role you will:
  • Assists in processing new hire Payroll/HR documentation
  • Monitors temporary workforce to integration
  • Prepares rejection and/or offer packages under the direction of the HR/Safety Manager
  • Proctors on-site assessment test, i.e. Maintenance
  • Assists the Supervisor or Trainer with PFS by preparing test, administering test, grading test, and preparing payroll status change form
  • Maintains employee communication bulletin boards
  • Coordinates employee functions, lunches and meetings, (anniversary appreciation luncheon/birthday closet)
  • Maintains benefit eligibility spreadsheet for new hires
  • Coordinates and hosts benefit information meetings/packets
  • Insures correct time and attendance, follows-up with Supervisors, notifies payroll processor when ready
  • Maintains and monitors pay for skill matrix
  • Assists in maintaining the personnel and payroll files and documents in order.  Responsible for the proper and timely filing of various personnel documents in the personnel files
  • Assists in distributing new policies and collecting acknowledgements
  • Assists in completing the A/P End of Month Accrual Report
  • Ensure that new hire and integration packets are correct and prepared, ready for use
  • Additional duties can/will be assigned later
Requirements and Education:
  • Professional, technical or administrative training (2-year Associate Degree)
  • Knowledge of Human Resources functions and Federal and State Laws pertaining to Human Resources
  • A minimum of 1 year work related experience is required.
  • Knowledge of arithmetic, English and grammar.
  • Accuracy and simple use of calculators, telephone, and computer
